Favorite Character from Reno 911 Miami the Movie

I saw Reno 911! Miami The Movie recently and I gotta tell you it was hilarious. I love spoof type movies and this was a cracker! They are releasing the DVD on the 19th June so make sure you check it out.

One of my favourite characters from the Movie is the chief, the squad leader, he is a funny funny character. I have linked to one a scene you can look at here that is hilarious, but you gotta catch the DVD to fully appreciate how great his character is.

One of the things I really like in these sorts of movies is when the actor stays in character the whole time, no subtle winking at the audience, just fully doing the character. I think it makes the whole experience that much better and the humor much more genuine and less contrived. When the character takes himself seriously in this kind of movie it really works.

I am not sure I can remember the last time I literally laughed out loud during a movie, but I did almost continuously in this movie. It is hilarious. And it is a good balance too of the awkwardness that you expect from a spoof movie, and the embarrassing things the characters do, because lets face it this is a team of noobs, and they are supposed to be embarrassing, but you do not want the whole experience to be so awkward you cannot bear to look at the screen.

One of the best movies I have seen in a while. Looking forward to the DVD release on 19 June.
